Air Fryer Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170 g each), skin-on
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lemon, halved

Instructions

    Pat the salmon fillets very dry with paper towels.

    Rub each fillet with olive oil. Combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and sprinkle evenly over both fillets.

    Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.

    Place the fillets skin-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.

    Cook for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness. Check at 8 minutes — the centre should be just opaque and flake easily.

    Squeeze fresh lemon over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

The skin gets shatter-crisp in an air fryer, which is the whole reason to cook salmon this way. Don't flip; cook skin-down the whole time. Thicker fillets (over 1 inch) need the full 10 minutes; thinner ones closer to 7.
